Turner Aviation’s cutting tool facility provides specialist manufacture and refurbishment tooling services to the aerospace, automotive, power generation and general engineering industries. Our current capability covers a wide range of special-to-type tooling, including Fir-tree form cutters and Broaches.

The cutting tool facility is part of our manufacturing division, employing 20 full time skilled operators backed up by engineering and planning technical support personnel. The Company operates an Aviation standard Quality System throughout our Organisation, ensuring that all tooling is produced to the demanding standards of the CAA, FAA, EASA and ISO 9001:2000. We hold a number of Customer approvals including Rolls Royce plc, Siemens Power Generation and Alstom Power UK Ltd.

Turner Aviation is committed to an aggressive investment programme that will allow us to enhance our current operations as well as developing our capability into new products and markets. This investment will include the upgrading of technology in all areas of our business.

With the new investments, Turner Aviation now offers:

• Broach Manufacture and regrind service
• Rotary tool manufacture and regrind service in H.S.S and Carbide.
• Wire EDM, to produce various complex tooling and components.
• Full tooling inspection with CMM and projection facility with up to 300:1 scale.
