We specialise in working in partnership with our customers and suppliers on full reverse engineering projects, development and improvements to current products, as well as quick turnaround of highly complex machined components.
Current manufacturing activities include:
- Mitsubishi approved fuel nozzle repair and manufacturing centre
- Independent aftermarket service provider for repair and manufacture, assembly and test of fuel nozzles & component parts for large frame (3,5,6,7 & 9) Industrial Gas Turbines
- AOG Aviation manufacturing support services including 3D scanning and metallurgical analysis to major UK aircraft operators
- Aviation tooling for OEMs
Turner Aviation has a policy of maintaining full in-house processes to control quality, cost and lead times. We can offer the following services in-house:
- New manufacture and repair of fuel nozzle assemblies covering various IGT OEM product lines
- Sonic nozzle gas flow testing on our OEM approved Flow System Inc high flow test stand
- Liquid testing of fuel components
- Multi-axis machining with probe datum setting and laser tool setting
- 5-axis milling, 4-axis turn-mill, wire erosion, grinding and manual machining capability
- Full 3D modelling and the latest CAM technology
- TIG Welding
- Fluorescent Dye Penetrant NDT (Level 3 approval)
- Vapour blast, Paint shop and Vibro finishing
- Hydrostatic and gas/liquid pressure testing
- OEM approved chemical cleaning with heating, pumps system and LEV.
- CMM Inspection
- Long-standing relationships with suppliers offering EBW, Honing, Spark Erosion & Plating/Coatings
